Connecticut is Alive with LGBTQ+ Pride!
Connecticut is a place for everyone—so all our fun is LGBTQ+ friendly fun. From being the second state to legalize same-sex marriage in 2008 to passing the parentage act in 2021 and offering great medical resources, the small state of Connecticut has long taken big steps to not only protect LGBTQ+ residents, families and visitors—but to celebrate them.
Recently, Connecticut even became the first-ever state to join the LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) at the global partner level! Plus, Hartford was named one of the best cities for LGBTQ+ couples. The state even offers top-notch LGBTQ+ medical resources including Hartford HealthCare's Center for Gender Health.

CTvisit Celebrates Pride
Connecticut proudly supports and welcomes the LGBTQ+ community. Connecticut is even the first-ever state to join the International LGBTQ+ Travel Association (IGLTA) at the global partner level. And this year, we went all-out when celebrating Pride Month!
We had a blast bringing positive vibes to Middletown Pride, one of Connecticut’s top 5 Pride festivals. Governor Lamont made an appearance in the parade – he even wore our shirt!
